Bidder Guide

We would love the opportunity to meet all of our buyers onsite at our consignment auctions; however, we understand that everyone deals with busy schedules and various commitments. For those who would like to place a bid but cannot attend, we offer absentee bidding. 

Terms and Conditions 

Auction Terms & Conditions Online bidders will be charged a 2.5% buyer's premium, there is no buyer's fee for onsite bidders.

 

You may place a maximum bid, by doing this you are placing an absentee bid. Absentee bidders with the high bid after the live auction will be notified after the last lot in the live auction.

 

This is a webcast auction, bidders may also bid online during the auction against floor bidders. Winning online bidders will emailed an invoice. The credit card on file will be charged at the conclusion of the auction based on the purchase price of the item as follows:

$0-$500 - full purchase price

$501-$1000- 50% of purchase price

$1001-$2500- 30%

$2501-$5000- 20%

$5001 and up - 10%

Arrangements must be made for the remainder of the purchase price. Any remaining balance 3 days after the conclusion of the auction will be charged in full to the card on file. Cash, Certified Check, Debit Cards or Major Credit Cards are accepted. Use of a Credit/Debit Card will be charged 2.49% if swiped onsite or 3.49% if charged online. Sales Tax of 6.5% will be charged to winning bids unless item is tax exempt and a tax exemption card is provided. All sales are final upon the award of the bid at which time payment is required. The item(s) WILL NOT be released until payment has been received in FULL by the auction company.

 

Payment can only be made in U.S. dollars. In the event the buyer fails to pay the full invoice price of any item(s), or fails to comply with any other terms of sale, the items will revert back to owner. If the Bidder fails to pay, they may be "black flagged" by the Auction Company and be unable to participate at any future auctions unless they pay for the item(s) in full.

 

NO WARRANTY: All items sell AS IS, Where IS, Without Guarantee of any Kind. The auction company will describe items in advertisements and during the auction in good faith and as represented by the Seller, however it is the Buyer's responsibility to inspect all property to determine age, condition, genuineness, value and other attributes of the property. Descriptions and any statements made by the Owner (or his agents or officers) or the Auctioneers (or his agents or officers) concerning any item shall in no way be construed as a warranty, either expressed or implied. Pictures are for reference only. Devereaux Auction Company, LLC shall not be responsible for errors and omissions in the description of any item. Any announcements made on the day of the sale take precedence over all matters.

 

BUYER'S RESPONSIBILITY: After a bidder has won the bid with his/her high bid, they have become the new owners of the item. The Auction Company or Seller is not responsible to provide any type of protection or insurance on the item(s).

 

INJURY AND DAMAGE: Bidder acknowledges responsibility for any personal injury or property damage caused by the Bidder or his Agent during pick up, and further agrees to hold Auctioneers and consigner harmless from any personal injury to himself or his Agents and any property damage incurred on auction premises. Devereaux Auction Company, LLC is providing internet bidding. Internet bidders who desire to make certain their bids are acknowledged should use the HiBid bidding feature allowing them to leave their maximum bid before the auction ends.

 

LOADING/SHIPPING/UNCLAIMED LOTS: No shipping for items is available unless it has been pre-arranged with Devereaux Auction Company, LLC prior to the auction close. It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to pick up their purchases during pick up day on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the conclusion of the auction or Monday September 16, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please make arrangements prior to bidding if you cannot pick-up your item September 14th or 16th. Items not picked up within 7 days become property of Devereaux Auction Company, LLC. See Auctioneer if you must leave any items longer, and storage fees may apply.

 

AGENTS ONLY: The Auctioneers are acting as agents of the Sellers. Devereaux Auction Company, LLC has the right to accept or deny bidders from attending their auctions online. All Sales are final. The bidder is responsible for knowing which items he/she is bidding on.
